Lucky Draw

Shoppers who submits entries using repeated receipts or exceeds 1 submission a day will be disqualified from the draw.

SMRT Shops x UIP – The Croods: A New Age Christmas Promotion (the “Campaign”)

Terms & Conditions 

 

The following terms and conditions and all subsequent revisions or amendments thereafter made from time to time by SMRT Commercial Pte Ltd shall apply to the Campaign. The term “SMRT Commercial” shall refer to SMRT Commercial Pte Ltd unless where the context otherwise requires.  

 

The Campaign period will be from 26 Nov 2020 to 30 Dec 2020 (both dates inclusive) (the “Campaign Period”). SMRT Commercial reserves the right at its sole discretion, to (a) suspend, postpone and/or terminate the Campaign, (b) shorten and/or extend the duration of the Campaign Period, and/or (c) amend, modify, delete, replace and/or revise the terms and conditions of the Campaign, without any prior notification to any person and without incurring any liability to any party whatsoever.

 

1    Eligibility for Redemption, Lucky Draw and Spot the Croods Social Media Contest

 

1.1   Subject to the terms and conditions set out herein, anyone who shops at SMRT Shops  (the “Shopper”) and spends a minimum total of (i) S$40 or (ii) S$50 during the Campaign Period with a maximum of 3 combined receipts dated during the Campaign Period from SMRT Shops may be eligible to respectively redeem The Croods: A new Age premium items or a pair of The Croods: A new Age movie tickets (the “Redemption”).

 

1.2   In addition to the Redemption, subject to the terms and conditions herein, eligible Shoppers aged 18 years and above may participate in the lucky draw to win a 1-night luxury Treehouse stay for 2 adults and 2 children age 12 and below (the “Lucky Draw”). In order to qualify to participate in the Lucky Draw, the Shopper will need to spend a minimum total of S$30 (excluding alcohol and tobacco products or vouchers from any SMRT Shops’ tenants) during the Campaign Period and submit to SMRT Commercial a duly completed and valid lucky draw form via SMRT Shops Website dated during the Campaign Period.

 

1.3    Notwithstanding paragraph 1.1 and 1.2, the following persons are not eligible to participate in the Campaign:

 

a)    Employees of SMRT Commercial Pte Ltd (Applies for ‘SMRT Shops x UIP – The Croods: A New Age Christmas’ campaign only) and their immediate family members and/or relatives living in the same household.

 

b)    All participating retailers, advertising and promotion agencies for the Campaign and their affiliates and subsidiaries, their employees and their immediate family members and/or relatives living in the same household.

 

 

1.4    A Shopper’s failure to provide true, correct and accurate information on his/her personal particulars when participating in the Campaign will automatically disqualify the Shopper from the Campaign and subsequent 5 campaigns.

 

1.5    Previous lucky draw winners will be excluded from participating in SMRT Shops campaigns for a period of one year starting from the date the winner is drawn. Entries will be disqualified should they participate. 

 

1.6    Shoppers who participate in the Lucky Draw using repeated receipt(s) will be disqualified from the Lucky Draw and subsequent 5 campaigns.

 

1.7    Each Shopper will earn one draw chance for every S$30 spend, limited to a maximum of three draw chances per entry submission (i.e. up to $90 per submission), and up to 1 entry submission daily.

 

1.8    Redemption of prizes is limited to one per Shopper per day.

 

1.9    Subject to the terms and conditions set out herein, anyone who fulfils all of the following mechanics shall be eligible to participate in the contest draw for Spot the Croods Social Media Contest (“Social Media Contest Draw”):

 

a)    The participant took a photograph of the individual Croods character appearing in SMRT digital screens (iView or STARiS) from 26 Nov 2020 to 24 Dec 2020.

 

b)    The participant uploaded the above mentioned photograph from 24 November 2020 to 24 December 2020 (both dates inclusive) onto Facebook or Instagram as a public post with the hashtag #SMRTShopsChristmas2020 and mentioning @SMRTShops (if via Facebook) or @smrt_shops (if via Instagram) in the caption of the photograph and tagged two friends in the post.

 

c)   The participant has liked (if via facebook) and followed SMRT Shops Facebook page @SMRTShops and/or SMRT Shops Instagram account @smrt_shops.

 

d)   The participant uploaded an original picture taken by the participant. In the event that photographs submitted under this Social Media Contest Draw is found to have been duplicated, either from the participant’s previous submission or other participant(s)’ submission(s), the offending participant shall be disqualified from participating in the Social Media Contest Draw for the week when the disqualified submission was uploaded.

 

e)   Only one post per participant per social media platform per week shall be eligible as an entry for this Social Media Contest Draw.

 

1.10       Winners of the Social Media Contest Draw shall be picked using a draw engine. Participants stand a chance to win a prize from one social media platform if they have submitted entries on both Facebook and Instagram.

 

1.11       From 26 Nov 2020 to 16Dec 2020, a total of two winners will be picked from each week’s eligible Social Media Contest Draw submissions, of which, one winner will be picked from Facebook entry submissions and one will be picked from Instagram entry submissions.

 

1.12       From 17 Dec 2020 to 24 Dec 2020, four winners will be picked from each week’s eligible Social Media Contest Draw submissions, of which, two winners will be picked from Facebook entry submissions and two will be picked from Instagram entry submissions.

 

 

2    Eligibility for Additional Lucky Draw Chance from the Digital Survey

 

2.1       Shoppers aged 18 years and above who have submitted their lucky draw entry in accordance with paragraph 1.2 may partake in the Campaign’s digital survey which will earn the participant an additional 10 Lucky Draw chances.

 

2.2     Each Shopper can submit only one digital survey for the Campaign Period. SMRT Commercial reserves the rights to nullify the award of all additional draw chances for repeated digital survey entries from the same shopper.

 

3    Redemption, Lucky Draw and Social Media Contest Draw Prizes

 

3.1    The prizes for the Redemption, Lucky Draw and Social Media Contest Draw are as follows:

Social Media Contest Draw

Refer to paragraph 1.9

(hereinafter referred to singularly as the “Prize” and collectively as the “Prizes”)

3.2    SMRT Commercial shall have the right at its sole discretion and without prior notice to replace, change or substitute any Prize(s) with one of similar value. No Prize(s) may be exchanged for cash or other goods and/or services.

 

3.3   SMRT Commercial shall have the right at its sole discretion and without prior notice to replace, change or substitute any Prize(s) with one of similar value. No Prize(s) may be exchanged for cash or other goods and/or services..

 

3.4    In consideration of SMRT Commercial providing the Prize(s) under the Campaign, the Shoppers acknowledge and agree to be bound by all terms and conditions imposed by SMRT Commercial and/or its Related Companies (as defined in the Companies Act (Cap. 50)) as well as by any third parties governing the use of the Prize(s).

 

4    Conduct of the Redemption, Lucky Draw and Spot the Croods Social Media Contest

 

4.1    The Lucky Draw will be held on 17 February 2021 at 12pm (GMT +8) unless otherwise changed by SMRT Commercial in its sole and absolute discretion.

 

4.2    The Lucky Draw Winners will be drawn from the pool of eligible Shoppers. 

 

4.3    SMRT Commercial shall have the right to draw reserve “winners” in the event that the winner(s) is/are disqualified.

 

4.4    Collection of Redemption Prizes will be carried out at SMRT Raffles Xchange from 26 Nov 2020 to 30 Dec 2020 (both date inclusive), on Monday to Friday,12pm to 7pm (GMT +8) and Saturdays, 10am to 2pm (GMT +8). During collection of Redemption Prizes, winners will be required to produce original copies of the qualifying SMRT Shops receipts for minimum spend verification. Failure to produce the original copy of the qualifying SMRT Shops receipt/s will result in a disqualification.

4.5    Collection of Spot the Croods Social Media Contest Draw Prizes during the Campaign Period will be carried out at SMRT Raffles Xchange from 26 Nov 20 – 30 Dec 20, on Monday to Friday,12pm to 7pm (GMT +8) and Saturdays, 10am to 2pm (GMT +8). Collection of Spot the Croods Social Media Contest Draw Prizes after the Campaign Period (i.e. winners who are notified between 24 Dec 2020 to 30 Dec 2020) can arrange for collection of the Prize(s) at 2 Tanjong Katong Road PLQ Tower 3 from 4 Jan 2021 to 8 Jan 2021 (both dates inclusive), from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm (GMT+8)..

 

4.6    All winners of the Lucky Draw will be notified by phone and/or email via the contact particulars registered with under the Campaign as set out in the lucky draw form submitted to SMRT Commercial.

4.7    All winners of the Spot the Croods Social Media Contest Draw will be notified by Direct Message on the respective social media platform (Facebook or Instagram) that they have submitted their Social Media Contest Draw entry. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the Prize within one week of notification, SMRT Commercial reserves the right to withdraw the Prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

 

4.8    All Prizes which remain unclaimed within (i) Campaign Period (for Redemption Prizes) or (ii) two (2) months (for the Lucky Draw Prize(s)) from the date of the Lucky Draw or (iii) one week (for Spot The Croods Social Media Contest) for any reason whatsoever, at the sole absolute discretion of SMRT Commercial, disposed of in any manner as it deems fit, and no claims whatsoever (whether for the prize, payment or compensation) shall be entertained. 

 

4.9    Please note that photographs may be taken during the award of the Prizes for publicity purposes. By entering, attending and/or participating in the award of the Prize(s) you consent to all photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition or reproduction to be used for news, promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on web sites and/or for any other purpose(s) that SMRT Commercial  deems fit to use. You release SMRT Commercial (and its officers and employees) from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitising or publication. Each Shopper grants and SMRT Commercial shall have the right to use pictures and photographs taken in relation to or in connection with or arising from the Campaign and to disclose and publish the name and any other particulars of all or any winners for publicity purposes.  Each Shopper, who is a winner, shall consent, co-operate and participate fully in the activities organized by SMRT Commercial for these purposes, without any payment, fee or compensation whatsoever.

 

4.10     SMRT Commercial maintains the right at its sole and absolute discretion to effect forfeitures of any Prizes or disqualification of any Shopper from the Lucky Draw and Redemption. In all circumstances, SMRT Commercial’s decisions shall be final, binding and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.

 

5    Limitation of Liability  

 

5.1    To the extent permitted by law, all Shoppers in the Campaign hereby agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless SMRT Commercial or its Related Companies (as defined in the Companies Act (Cap 50) and its respective employees or agents (the “Indemnified Parties”) from any and all liabilities, claims, demands and/or damages of any nature whatsoever arising out of or relating to the Campaign, the redemption item(s) and/or any activity relating thereto, including but not limited to any death, personal injury and/or property damage, any tax liabilities in relation to the redemption item(s), any special, direct or indirect and consequential losses and/or any other liabilities howsoever caused in relation to the Campaign.

 

5.2    SMRT Commercial shall not at any time or in any circumstances be responsible or held liable for (a) any non-acceptance, non-performance or the standard of performance in respect of any Prize(s) or (b) the quality of the Prize(s).

 

6    General

 

6.1   SMRT Commercial reserves the right at its sole discretion to postpone, suspend, cancel or limit the Campaign at any time upon the occurrence of any event(s) or circumstances beyond their control which hinder, prevent or affect (or may likely to have such effect) the fulfilment of the terms of the Campaign including, without limitation acts of God, natural disasters or catastrophes, riots or wars (whether declared or not), terrorist activities, epidemics, health threats, quarantine requirements, change of any applicable laws and/or issuance of new laws.

 

6.2    By participating in the Campaign, each Shopper agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions or such other rules and regulations as imposed by SMRT Commercial. Each Shopper shall also be deemed to submit to all decisions of SMRT Commercial, which shall be final and binding on all matters relating to the Campaign.

 

6.3   It is each Shopper’s responsibility to give SMRT Commercial current, complete, truthful and accurate information and to keep the information provided to SMRT Commercial up to date. SMRT Commercial cannot and shall not be responsible for any problems, consequences or liability that may arise whether directly or indirectly as a result of any failure to give SMRT Commercial accurate, truthful or complete information.

 

6.4    By participating in the Campaign, the shopper agrees to receive SMRT Shops future promotions, offers or events and newsletters from SMRT Commercial and its holding and related companies.

 

6.5    The Campaign shall in all respects, be governed by the laws of Singapore.  These terms and conditions are not intended to confer rights on any third party, whether pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap 53B) or otherwise, and no third party shall have any right to enforce any provision of these terms and conditions.
